Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using the cash register or point-of-sale system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely and responsibly
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to assist with inquiries and resolve issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Scan items and ensure prices and quantities are entered correctly
- Assist with restocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed
- Adhere to store policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and security.
