Travel Registered Nurse (RN)- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) (Days)
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, VT.

Contract Details

• Days 10hr shifts 6a-4.30p Monday-Thursday. Occasional Fridays when on call. Daily shift hours vary by department but all departments are 9 hour shifts (Periop starts at 6am, Endo starts at 6.30am and Recovery starts at 8.00am)

• Hourly Pay: $ 37.00
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $ 2356.00
  
• Weekend Requirements: Every 5th weekend/Holidays required as needed (typically rotating)
  
• On Call Requirements: 1 night per week and every 5th weekend
  
• Traveler Policy: Perm address must be included in profile
  

** Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer. Please obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring post-operative patients’ levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and providing updates to the treatment team as needed.
  
• Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administering medication as prescribed.
  
• Regularly checking vital signs to quickly intercept any potential issues and ensure a smooth recovery.
  
• Keeping bandages, dressings, etc. clean, dry, and safe.
  
• Educating patients and their families on post-surgery care, as well as answering questions.
  
• Updating charts, patient files, and medical records.
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
  
• Pay package details provided upon offer
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2+ years of current Outpatient PACU experience
  
• Must have Periop experience
  
• Must have Endo experience
  
• Small critical access facility experience is preferred
  
• MUST be able to start/maintain IV lines
  
• Bachelor Degree is preferred
  
• Must have Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
  
• Must have Active American Heart Association PALS
  
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
  
• This need will cover Periop, Endo and Recovery. Must have high proficiency in each specialty to be considered.
  
• Primarily outpatient, some acute care highly preferred
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
