Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for the state of New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with diverse populations in K-12 educational settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to adapt to a variety of school cultures and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Travel between schools within the district to provide direct instruction and specialized support for students with IEPs
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and monitoring of individualized education plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure all services are delivered in line with state and federal regulations
- Act as a resource for staff and families regarding best practices in special education
