Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Valid SLPA license or certification
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and therapy protocols
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to follow treatment plans developed by an SLP
- Positive, patient, and student-focused attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy sessions under the supervision and guidance of a licensed SLP
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in overcoming communication challenges and fostering their academic and social growth
- Maintain accurate records of session progress and document student achievements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to ensure cohesive support
- Prepare teaching materials and adapt activities to suit each student’s needs
