Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly as a school OT, highly valued
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting
- Ability to assess and address fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning and meeting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students’ OT needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans supporting students’ academic and functional goals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in individual or group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student success
- Maintain detailed records and required documentation related to progress, sessions, and IEP compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on goals, strategies, and accommodations
- Offer support and training for school personnel and families as needed
