Support students and make a difference as a contract paraprofessional in a vibrant educational setting near Portsmouth, NH. We're seeking five dedicated paraprofessionals to assist in both one-on-one and classroom environments at the middle and high school levels. This role is a great fit for candidates who are eager to positively impact students’ daily experiences.
Preferred candidates will bring school or youth-related experience; however, no special certifications are required beyond a high school diploma. In this position, you’ll work 32.5 hours per week, aligning with either the middle school schedule from 7:10 am to 2:10 pm, or the high school schedule from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. This role follows the school calendar and is available immediately through June 2027.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to students in classroom and 1:1 settings, fostering a positive learning environment
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and behavior management
- Implementing strategies to help students achieve their academic and social goals
- Supporting students with daily routines and transitions throughout the school day
- Collaborating with staff to promote student success and well-being
Desired qualifications:
- Proof of high school diploma
- School-based or childcare experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
- Commitment to reliability and professionalism
- Three completed references, including your most recent manager, are required prior to interviewing
