Make a difference supporting high school students in a dynamic educational environment for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time paraprofessional opportunity is available for a contract assignment running from August 2026 through June 2027. You’ll play a vital role in fostering student growth, collaborating with educators, and contributing to academic and personal success. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule (Monday through Friday, 32-37.5 hours weekly) and a rewarding chance to positively impact learners every day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with high school students, including those with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Commitment to the full academic year (August 2026-June 2027)
- Additional training or certifications related to education support is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering instructional support and classroom management
- Provide individualized or small group academic assistance
- Help students navigate daily activities and assignments
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support behavioral management plans under teacher guidance as needed
- Maintain accurate records and report observations to appropriate staff
