Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with high school students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and is based in the scenic region near Bristol, NH. As a full-time educator, you will be a vital support for students requiring specialized instruction, ensuring they receive a tailored and effective educational experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification to teach Special Education (or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date)
- Previous experience working with high school students in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with faculty and families
- Ability to design differentiated instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Organizational skills for managing multiple students’ progress and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth
- Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development sessions
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to special education
This is a Monday through Friday position, 35 to 37.5 hours each week. You’ll work with a supportive staff and make a lasting impact on bright, capable students in a welcoming school environment. Additional role-specific details will be provided as available.
