Job Title: Calibration / Metrology Technician
Client: Medical Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Danvers, MA 01923
Shift: 1st Shift – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Role Overview
• Perform calibration and testing of measuring and signal generating equipment
• Maintain accuracy of instruments used in manufacturing and testing
• Provide technical support across production, maintenance, and quality teams
• Work under moderate supervision as a technical contributor
Key Responsibilities
• Calibrate electronic test measuring and signal generating equipment
• Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain measuring and indicating instruments
• Maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and pressure devices
• Set up calibration methods and sequences based on specifications and drawings
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective parts of test equipment
• Perform troubleshooting on mechanical and electronic components
• Monitor quality using statistical process control or other procedures
• Provide technical support for production, operations, maintenance, and testing
• Gather, compile, and maintain technical data for reporting
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
• Interpret testing data and prepare technical reports
• Identify routine technical problems and implement solutions
• Suggest improvements to optimize work processes when applicable
Technical Activities
• Perform routine and intermediate technical testing tasks
• Use schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation for troubleshooting
• Maintain calibration standards and equipment accuracy
• Ensure testing and calibration procedures meet defined standards
Communication & Team Support
• Communicate technical information with internal teams
• Provide explanations and interpretations of technical results
• Assist and guide entry-level technicians when required
Required Skills
• Knowledge of calibration techniques and testing procedures
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong technical documentation and reporting abilities
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to measurements
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Education
• Vocational or technical education or certification preferred
Work Experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in calibration, metrology, or technical testing roles
