Job Description
This role focuses on assembling neurosurgical sponges in a clean room environment using a thread and sewing needle. You perform highly repetitive, detail-oriented work to support the production of medical devices, following documented work instructions and maintaining strict cleanliness and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble neurosurgical sponges in a clean room using a thread and sewing needle according to detailed work instructions.
- Follow standardized production processes to complete highly repetitive assembly tasks with consistent quality.
- Use hand tools and manual dexterity to handle small components and materials safely and accurately.
- Adhere to all clean room protocols, including proper handling of materials and compliance with contamination control procedures.
- Review and follow written work instructions to ensure correct assembly methods and product specifications.
- Inspect assembled products visually to identify defects or inconsistencies and take corrective action as needed.
- Support general production activities related to medical device assembly as assigned.
- Maintain an organized work area and contribute to a safe and compliant production environment.
- Arrive on time and work the full scheduled shift to support consistent production output.
Essential Skills
- Proven reliability and strong attendance record.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with sustained focus and accuracy.
- High attention to detail when working with small components and materials.
- Good hand dexterity and comfort using a sewing needle and thread.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and established procedures.
- Capability to work effectively in a clean room environment with strict protocols.
- Comfort working in a production or assembly setting, especially for medical devices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in clean room operations is beneficial.
- Experience in medical device assembly or general production is an advantage.
- Familiarity with hand tools and manual assembly processes is helpful.
- Comfort performing sewing or similar fine-motor tasks is preferred.

Work Environment
You work in a clean room medical device facility that follows strict cleanliness and contamination control standards. The position is on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You spend most of the day at a workstation performing repetitive assembly tasks with a sewing needle, thread, and small components. The environment emphasizes compliance with documented work instructions, consistent production output, and careful handling of medical device materials. Clean room attire and protocols apply to ensure product integrity and a controlled workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beverly, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
