Early Childhood Teacher


About This Role


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Addison, VT. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. You will partner with families to support each child's unique learning journey and build a strong foundation for their future academic success.


What You'll Do

  • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities that stimulate curiosity and encourage exploration.
  • Provide a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets all state licensing and safety regulations.
  • Assess and document each child's developmental progress, sharing regular updates and insights with parents and guardians.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture by modeling kindness, respect, and effective communication skills.



What You'll Do

  • Know and follow CDD Child Care Licensing Regulations
  • Being responsible for the care and supervision of children.
  • Planning, preparing, and implementing a curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards/TSG
  • Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
  • Healthy classroom management skills.
  • Develop positive relationships with children, co-workers, families, and external personnel.
  • Consistently come to work and be a positive team member.



Requirements

  • Associate's degree Prefered.
  • Must pass a criminal background check & fingerprinting through the VT Child Care Development Division
  • Infant/Child First Aid & CPR Certified or willing to take upon hire.
  • Completed Vermont Orientation, Mandated Reporter, and Medication Administration trainings.
  • Will need to have or take the Fundamentals Course: OR have related coursework.



Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting curriculum for individualized learning needs.
  • Knowledge of Vermont's Early Learning Standards (VELS) and specialized curriculum frameworks.
  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms used for parent engagement and documentation.
