Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing client in Franklin, NH. This is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position responsible for keeping production machinery and facility equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.

Location: Franklin, NH
Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Shift Differential: 10% additional pay for 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
- Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment breakdowns during production.
- Complete scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical components including gears, motors, bearings, belts, pulleys, lubrication systems, and other rotating equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, cylinders, regulators, valves, and air systems.
- Perform lubrication maintenance, including grease application, oil changes, inspections, and contamination control.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on motors, sensors, switches, and control circuits.
- Use PLC logic and ladder diagrams to help trace equipment faults and troubleshoot control-related issues. Advanced PLC programming is not required.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and repair or replace components as necessary.
- Test repaired equipment and verify proper operation before returning it to production.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documentation, and work orders.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, meters, and material-handling equipment.
- Occasionally perform basic plumbing and carpentry work.
- Identify and report abnormal equipment conditions or defective materials.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records.
- Follow OSHA requirements, ISO standards, company procedures, and established safety practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to use computers for maintenance documentation, communication, and CMMS systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance/production team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities when needed.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime or extended hours when required.
Preferred Experience
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints or schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC logic and ladder diagrams.
- Understanding of electrical circuits and control devices.
- Basic math and trigonometry skills.
- Familiarity with machine tool geometry and proper tool selection.
- Experience working within an ISO manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders when necessary.
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Candidates must be able to consistently work the 2nd-shift schedule. Overtime or extended hours may occasionally be required based on production and maintenance needs.
Compensation
$24.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Plus a 10% 2nd-shift differential.
This is a temp-to-perm position with the potential for direct hire for the right candidate.
