Job Description
\n
\n
We’re seeking a senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of complex electronics from early concept through detailed design, hardware bring-up, analysis, and production. This role combines architecture-level decision-making with hands-on design in a high-reliability environment.
\n
\n
The initial focus will be developing concepts, conducting trade studies, and defining the hardware architecture. As development progresses, you’ll guide design execution, integration, testing, and worst-case analysis. Previous leadership experience is preferred, with the ability to take technical ownership essential.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n
- \n
- Develop hardware concepts and conduct trade studies to evaluate architectures and establish the design approach.
- Lead the design of multilayer analog, digital, and mixed-signal printed wiring boards (PWBs).
- Define and evaluate processor, FPGA, and microcontroller-based architectures, including timing and loop analysis.
- Design power circuitry and power conversion systems.
- Develop analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion circuitry.
- Perform worst-case analysis and component derating assessments to support reliable operation.
- Support hardware bring-up, integration, debugging, and verification.
- Design for applicable military and aerospace requirements, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and management to communicate design decisions, technical risks, and development progress.
- Guide technical execution from concept through production.
