Role Description The Business and Commercial Real Estate Paralegal is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth, NH. This position supports attorneys with business transactions and commercial real estate matters, including drafting and reviewing documents such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, and closing packages. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and managing files, coordinating due diligence, assisting with title searches and title insurance requirements, and preparing documents for closings. The paralegal will communicate with clients, lenders, and other parties to gather information, schedule meetings, and ensure timely completion of tasks. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines, and supporting attorneys with administrative and project management needs.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and formatting transactional and real estate documents.
- Experience conducting Due Diligence for business and commercial real estate matters, including document review and organization.
- Knowledge of Title Insurance and related title work, including coordination with title companies and review of commitments and policies.
- Familiarity with Leases and Commercial Real Estate transactions, including document review, abstracting, and closing support.
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience in business law or real estate; law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in common office software and legal document management tools; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
- Paralegal certificate or relevant college degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
