American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN to care for boarding patients in a Level 1 trauma Emergency Department, requiring MA licensure and prior boarder patient experience.

- Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 trauma facility
- Caring for Medical-Surgical Telemetry boarding patients awaiting inpatient beds
- Averaging 40 patients per day with typical 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratios
- 12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment length
- No floating or charge responsibilities required
- Uses Epic EMR

Requirements\n

- Active MA RN license required in hand
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Prior experience with boarder patients in the ED required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass Day 1 tele/ECG testing within 2 attempts during compliance onboarding

- Provide telemetry monitoring and nursing care for Med/Surg boarding patients in the ED
- Weekly orientation schedule with any color scrubs permitted
- Required vaccinations include COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine, with medical exemptions allowed
- Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months and in good standing to be considered
- Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
- Minimal time off will be considered and must be disclosed at time of consideration
- First-time travelers are not specified as accepted for this role
