Ideal candidates possess:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (state credential required)
- Previous classroom or resource setting experience in a school-based Special Education role
- Strong trauma-informed background, with ability to foster resilience and safety for students
- Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Capacity to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with team members, students, and families
In these roles, you will:
- Provide direct instruction and support aligned with IEP goals
- Utilize trauma-informed practices to create nurturing, safe, and supportive classrooms
- Track and document student progress through data and reports
- Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
- Support a positive classroom culture and inclusive environment for all students
