A Manual Tester plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by thoroughly testing them without the use of automated tools. This role involves designing test cases, executing tests, documenting defects, and collaborating with development teams to improve product quality and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute detailed manual test cases based on requirements and specifications
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and resolve issues
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure system stability
- Report testing progress and results to stakeholders clearly and promptly
- Participate in review meetings to provide feedback on quality and test coverage
- Maintain and update test documentation as required
