Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Scrub/Circulate position requiring cataract experience and VT or compact RN licensure.

- Small community critical access hospital Surgical Services department with 2 operating rooms and a procedure room
- Provides mostly outpatient procedures with limited inpatient cases
- Service lines include general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopy procedures
- Cares for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients ages 16 and older
- Day shift schedule, 4x8-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Weekend call required approximately 1 weekend per month with 1-hour call back time
- Weekday call required 2-3 days per week with 1-hour call back time
- Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements\n

- Active VT RN license or compact license required prior to start
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience required
- Cataract experience required, non-negotiable
- Both scrubbing and circulating experience required
- Experience working in a smaller OR facility required
- Phase I/PACU experience required
- Multiple surgical specialty experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred

- Functions as a circulating and scrubbing RN, providing specialized surgical care across multiple service lines
- Hospital-provided scrubs required
- Must have own vehicle, as this is a small community without public transportation
- No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and all scheduling requests must be finalized prior to submission
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Strict attendance policy in place; three call-offs may result in contract termination, with each call-off requiring notice to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
