Experienced Skid Steer Operator

Cut Above Landscaping is looking for an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating a skid steer and takes pride in doing quality work. The immediate focus of this position will be lawn excavation, grading, and spreading loam. During the winter season, this position will transition into snow management and snow removal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate skid steers and related equipment
  • Excavate existing lawns and prepare areas for new lawns
  • Spread and grade loam to proper elevations
  • Perform finish grading and leave properties clean and ready for seeding or other landscaping work
  • Load, move, and distribute materials as needed
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
  • Operate equipment safely around homes, vehicles, landscaping, and other property
  • Assist with general landscaping and site work when needed
  • During the winter, operate skid steers and other equipment for snow removal and snow management
  • Work independently while following job specifications and direction from supervisors

Qualifications

  • Previous skid steer operating experience is required
  • Experience with grading, excavation, loam, or landscaping is strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and confidently in residential properties
  • Good understanding of equipment capabilities and limitations
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Snow removal experience is a plus

This is a year-round opportunity for the right person, with landscaping and grading work during the warmer months and snow management during the winter.
