Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license and current telemetry experience.

    \n
  • 49-bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
  • \n

  • Patients present with a wide variety of acute conditions and multiple comorbidities
  • \n

  • 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • \n

  • Every other weekend required
  • \n

  • 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
  • \n

  • Uses Epic EMR
  • \n

  • No floating or charge responsibilities required
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of consideration
  • \n

  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • \n

  • ACLS certification required
  • \n

  • Current telemetry experience required
  • \n

  • Med/Surg experience preferred
  • \n

  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n

  • Effective communication and time management skills required
  • \n

  • Must pass a one-time ECG/Telemetry and medication proctored exam prior to acceptance
  • \n

Additional Information\n

  • Deliver medical/surgical telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute and complex conditions
  • \n

  • Orientation occurs on a biweekly basis
  • \n

  • Interview conducted directly with the hiring manager
  • \n

  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
  • \n

  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates will not be accepted
  • \n

  • Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any BILH facility before returning
  • \n

  • All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
  • \n
