Location: Roxbury, MA
Term: October 16, 2026 – March 16, 2027 (Leave of Absence Coverage)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Setting: Onsite
We are hiring a full-time Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to provide leave-of-absence coverage for a school in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Running from mid-October through mid-March, this role focuses on modifying physical education activities to ensure all students with physical or developmental needs can participate safely and build motor skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver adapted physical education instruction tailored to individual student capabilities and IEP goals.

Assess motor skills, physical fitness levels, and spatial awareness to design inclusive activities.

Collaborate with special education teachers, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.

Monitor progress, maintain safe movement environments, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
Requirements:

Licensure: Active Massachusetts Educator License in Physical Education with an Adapted Physical Education (APE) Endorsement (or Special Education endorsement with APE background).

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or Special Education.
