**Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN) - **Specialty:** Behavioral Health - **Unit:** Forensic Unit Mountain View - **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours - **Weekend Hours:** Every other weekend - **Call Requirements:** None **Unit Profile:** - **Trauma Level:** Continuing Care Unit - **Number of Openings:** 1 - **Patient Population:** Adults 18 and over, with a history of legal issues; a crucial step before community placement - **Number of Beds:** 46 - **Patient Ratios:** 1:9 RN - **Equipment:** POC blood glucose, Vital Signs monitoring - **EHR System:** Cerner - **Supervisor:** Nancy Marhefka, BSN RN - **Environment:** Beautiful 3-year-old state-of-the-art behavioral health unit, experienced staff, and the lowest restraint rate in Massachusetts **Position Information:** - **Required Certifications:** - BLS (AHA) - Handle with Care (HWC - can be completed on site if necessary) - **Years of Experience:** 3 years in mental health nursing - **Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have Skills/Experience:** - Experience with mental health patients in a locked setting - Ability to pass medications using Omni Cell - **Preferred Skillset/Experience:** As above - **Common Diagnosis/Treatment:** - Bipolar disorder - Schizoaffective disorder - Major Depression - Substance Abuse - Chronic medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD) - **Personality Fit:** - Trauma-informed - Compassionate care - Flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs - Confidence and excellent communication skills **Dress Code:** - **Scrub Color:** Blue - **Unacceptable Attire:** Open toe shoes, provocative or tight clothing **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
