Tasks Include:
\n
· Interview new clients and meet with existing clients to render legal advice.
\n
· Perform legal research on a multitude of Real Estate topics.
\n
· Travel to Housing and District Courts to argue motions and attend other pre-trial court appearances before a judge and conduct trials.
\n
· Draft legal documents; including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and repayment agreements.
\n
· Track and enter billable time.
\n
· Achieve assigned billable goals.
\n
· Complete ongoing professional development through employer sponsored training with MCLE, MBA and REBA.
\n
\n
Ideal Candidate:
\n
· 2 to 5 years of legal experience, with prior experience in real estate law or litigation a plus
\n
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
\n
· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to represent clients effectively
\n
· A motivated, self-starting approach
\n
· Strong interpersonal, research, and writing skills
\n
· An interest in landlord representation
\n
· Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
\n
· Reliable transportation
\n
