We are seeking candidates for a Drug Authorization Specialist position with a highly respected and successful Boston-based hospital. This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire position that will pay $20-22/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. All candidates who are located in MA, RI, or NH will be considered to work 100% remotely.

Responsibilities:

Perform pre-registration of new patients by making/receiving patient calls, collecting and documenting patient demographics, financial, and other relevant personal information
- \n
Verify patient identification
- \n
Update changes to patient insurance and/or demographic information as needed
- \n
Manage referral and authorization information as assigned
- \n
Communicate regularly with physicians and other medical providers regarding clinical clarifications
- \n
Document daily activities in a timely, accurate manner in the hospital information system

Qualifications:
\n

BS in Health Science / Healthcare-related field of study (Preferred)
- \n
0-2 years of relevant work experience, including healthcare/business administration, health insurance, medical policy/chart review, nursing, and/or other allied health fields
- \n
Strong communication skills
- \n
Strong Microsoft Office suite experience
- \n
Experience with Epic a plus
