This role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) who thrive in dynamic, educational settings. You’ll play a vital part in fostering communication skills for students during a maternity leave coverage from December through March.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP-CCC or SLPA credential
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Passion for assisting young learners in reaching their speech and language goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as assigned
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Track and document student progress, maintaining detailed records in compliance with school standards
- Regularly communicate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistent support
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs throughout the assignment
