We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students and educators throughout the school year. This role works under the supervision of teachers and other school professionals to help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally.

Hourly Rate Range: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist special education teachers with implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
  • Assist with adapting classroom materials and activities under the direction of the supervising teacher.
  • Support students with communication, mobility, social-emotional development, and daily living skills.
  • Reinforce positive behavior strategies and assist with classroom management.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, recess areas, and other school settings.
  • Collect and document data related to student progress, behavior, and IEP goals as directed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other school professionals to promote student success.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when interacting with students, families, and staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED/HiSET equivalent required.
  • Ability to meet district-specific education and qualification requirements. Positions providing instructional support in Title I programs may require an associate degree or higher, two years of college study, or successful completion of an approved academic assessment.
  • Ability to meet all applicable fingerprinting, criminal background-check, and district clearance requirements.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New Hampshire Paraeducator I or II certification preferred; may be required by the hiring district.
  • Previous experience supporting students with disabilities in a school, childcare, behavioral health, or similar setting.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training, or willingness to complete district-required training.
