Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at a Level III Trauma Center, managing a wide range of adult diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, GI bleed, cardiac arrest, renal failure, cardiogenic shock, and substance abuse/overdose
- Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 for high-acuity ICU patients
- Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately
- Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, managing up to 4–5 patients per assignment
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours per day

Required Qualifications\n

- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of continuous adult ICU (MICU) experience
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills\n

- 2+ years of continuous experience in a single MICU setting
- Prior experience floating to Medical/Surgical units
- Comfort managing high-acuity patients with complex, multi-system diagnoses
