Step into a rewarding contract position providing essential support within a dynamic middle school environment near Waltham, MA. As a valued paraprofessional, you'll empower students in their daily academic journeys, ensuring individualized attention and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Your responsibilities will include assisting teachers during class, working directly with students to reinforce lessons, and helping manage classroom behavior. You will play a vital role in implementing educational plans and providing one-on-one or small group support for students in need of additional assistance. Collaboration and communication will be key as you support both educators and students across various learning activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Paraprofessional certification or Para credentials required
- Prior experience supporting middle school students preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster trust and rapport
- Collaborative approach to working with educators and students
- Adaptable, patient, and compassionate personality
Primary Duties:
- Provide instructional support to individuals and small groups
- Assist with classroom management and organization
- Support students with special learning needs under teacher direction
- Help implement and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive, positive learning environment
Enjoy a consistent schedule with 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, throughout the school year until June 22, 2027.
