Title: Production Manager
Job type: Full time
Location: Bennington, VT
Position summary: Hands on approach to plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and lead the manufacturing processes including all employees related to direct labor.
Tasks:
- Ensure estimated cycle times are met by continuously improving process flows, removing unnecessary motion/processes, and eliminating waiting time.
- Ensure short-term commitments are met by personally following product and removing any obstacles.
- Ensure long term commitments are met by properly planning manpower and machines
- Monitoring and mentoring leads supervisors to improve efficiency
- Develop goals for leads and supervisors to improve overall management skills
- Hold leads and supervisors accountable for deadlines

- Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Preferred Experience and Education:
- Experience in Production Management
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical engineering
- Solid understanding of GD&T and metal fabrication processes
- Reading and understanding technical documents and drawings
