Join us in Northfield, NH as a Precision CNC Programmer-Operator and take ownership of complex setups on both vertical mills and lathes while producing critical industrial valve components. Your day starts at the machine: reviewing prints, loading tools, dialing in offsets, and running first-article parts you programmed or edited. You’ll keep production humming—troubleshooting code, refining feeds and speeds, inspecting features, and staying a step ahead of issues before they impact throughput.
What you’ll do day-to-day
- Set up and operate CNC vertical mills and CNC lathes to machine industrial valve components
- Troubleshoot and edit programs on the floor; adjust tooling, work offsets, and machine parameters
- Oversee daily shop production flow and support teammates with setups and problem-solving
- Continuously monitor operations; make in-process adjustments to protect quality and cycle time
- Perform inspections and resolve machining issues as they arise
What you bring
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (required)
- Proven setup experience on vertical mills, lathes, or both (required)
- Program troubleshooting and editing on the shop floor (required)
- Familiarity with Haas VMCs or Mori Seiki/DMG Mori lathes (preferred)
- Mastercam experience (preferred)
- Background leading, supervising, or training machinists (preferred)
