Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners in a dynamic, inclusive setting. Beginning as soon as possible through June 2027, this full-time role focuses on serving students in kindergarten through second grade within an ABA-centered classroom for children with autism. You’ll enjoy a supportive environment with a manageable caseload of approximately 11 students and the daily assistance of three dedicated paraprofessionals.
Your expertise in special education will help guide students’ development, utilizing ABA principles and the IEP process to ensure that each child receives the individualized support they need to thrive. This rewarding role runs Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM, offering both structure and a strong sense of community.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Proven experience working with ABA strategies in school settings
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
- Comfortable engaging collaboratively with a classroom team and families
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students, incorporating ABA best practices
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
- Partner with two paraprofessionals to maximize supports and engagement
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to individual needs
- Maintain effective communication with staff, students, and families
- Create a safe, encouraging environment where every learner can succeed
