Compensation: $28.00–$29.75/hour
Schedule: Any 5 days per week
Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend Rotation: Required

Facility Size: 252 beds

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This permanent, full-time opportunity offers a competitive compensation package, a 40-hour workweek, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients in a large, established skilled nursing facility.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working a flexible schedule of any five days per week, including participation in a weekend rotation. There may also be opportunities or occasional needs to float to neighboring locations, so flexibility and a willingness to support nearby sites are important.

This position is not accepting new graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established goals

  • Assist patients with improving functional abilities and independence in activities of daily living

  • Provide therapeutic activities focused on strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional performance

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising OT and care team

  • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and in a timely manner

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and safety

  • Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful treatment environment

  • Provide coverage or float to neighboring sites when needed

Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Previous OTA experience required; new graduates will not be considered

  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment

  • Willingness to participate in a weekend rotation

  • Flexibility to work across neighboring locations when needed
