**Echocardiographer - Spend Fall in Vermont!** **Job Description:** - Help patients discover their heart health while enjoying the stunning landscapes of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom! - Join a passionate team of professionals committed to excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered care. - Utilize advanced cardiac imaging technology to make a direct impact on cardiovascular health in a community-focused critical access hospital. **About This Role:** - Perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography studies for inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and surgical patients. - Leverage your expertise in obtaining diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images and measurements to support the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. - Use your independent judgment and strong technical skills to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. - Play a vital role in improving patients' lives through routine studies, identifying significant findings, and collaborating with physicians. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies adhering to departmental protocols and professional standards. - Produce accurate cardiac measurements and diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by cardiologists. - Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process. - Utilize clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, recognize significant abnormalities, and communicate urgent findings when needed. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care across multiple settings. **Required Qualifications:** - Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography. - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required. - Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is a must. - Minimum one year of echocardiography experience and travel experience required. - Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques. **Preferred Skills:** - Excellent communication and patient care skills. - Strong organizational and computer skills. - Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and care teams. - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional patient experiences. **IMPORTANT:** - Housing and transportation requirements: - A dependable personal vehicle is required. - NVRH does not provide housing; candidates must secure their own accommodations before arriving. - Credentialing is due 5 business days prior to the assignment start date. **Shift Information:** - Monday - Friday, four 8-hour shifts per week. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
