This full-time, contract opportunity is close to Brighton, MA, where you’ll make an impact as a dedicated paraprofessional, assisting learners in an engaging school environment. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll help deliver intensive, individualized curriculum using proven Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting, ideally with middle school students
- Familiarity with ABA principles and a commitment to implementing individualized instruction
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach
- Ability to adapt to changing classroom dynamics and work effectively with teachers and therapists
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social goals under the guidance of certified educators
- Assist in implementing intensive, specialized instruction tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Apply ABA strategies consistently to foster skill acquisition and positive behavioral change
- Track and document student progress, reporting observations to the instructional team
- Facilitate inclusive participation in classroom activities and school routines
- Encourage student independence while providing attentive supervision
