Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Registered Nurse in a high school health room setting near Cambridge, MA. Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 2:30pm
Essential Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Previous experience in a school setting or similar environment preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to respond calmly to urgent situations
- Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and guardians
- CPR and first aid certification required
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organization
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and privacy standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency care to students and staff as needed
- Administer medication and manage student health concerns throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to support student well-being
- Educate students on health, hygiene, and wellness practices
- Monitor for communicable diseases and assist with care plans as required
- Ensure the health room is clean, well-stocked, and compliant with school policies
