Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor for our manufacturing client in Franklin, NH. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who knows how to keep production moving, develop employees, troubleshoot operational challenges, and maintain high standards for safety and quality.


The Shift Supervisor will oversee all production activities during the assigned shift, including extrusion, press operations, packing, loading, and coordination with maintenance. This individual will be responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and according to customer and quality requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, coach, and support production employees throughout the shift.
  • Assign daily responsibilities and monitor productivity and performance.
  • Train and mentor employees to strengthen skills and support professional growth.
  • Communicate expectations and provide ongoing performance feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Assist with attendance management, coaching, documentation, and corrective action when appropriate.


Production Operations

  • Oversee extrusion, press, packing, and loading operations.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing and resources based on production needs.
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up and operated according to established procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance, process variables, and production output.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Complete shift reports, production summaries, and turnover documentation.


Quality

  • Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Monitor quality throughout the production process and perform routine visual inspections.
  • Investigate quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement and a strong culture of quality.


Maintenance Coordination

  • Work closely with Maintenance to prioritize equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Report equipment malfunctions promptly and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Monitor equipment performance and help reduce unplanned downtime.


Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams on process improvements.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or manufacturing education preferred.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Aluminum extrusion or similar production/manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality systems, and equipment operations.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions and effectively lead employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Microsoft Office and production reporting system proficiency preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is a plus.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to access and work within production areas as necessary.
  • Comfortable working around noise, heat, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).


Schedule

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

Candidates must be able to consistently work the overnight schedule. Overtime, weekend work, or additional coverage may occasionally be required based on business needs.

Compensation


$70,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience.
