Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Working full-time from 8:25am to 3:10pm, your expertise will be instrumental in helping young learners build essential communication skills that set the foundation for lifelong success. The anticipated caseload ranges from 30 to 40 students, ensuring a meaningful impact with each student you serve.
Start date is as soon as possible, and administrators are ready to move forward with interviews scheduled for the afternoon of September 28 or the morning of September 29. This is a fantastic chance to collaborate with a dedicated support team and experience the reward of working across all grade levels in a school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active SLPA license/certification
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly preferred
- Comfortable working with students from Pre-K to 12th grade
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Reliable, organized, and compassionate approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Record data and report on student progress
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to enhance communication
- Contribute to meetings and maintain appropriate documentation
- Participate in ongoing professional development as required
