Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join our engineering and product development team in Tewksbury, MA. This role will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Sales, Vendors, and Product Management teams to support new product innovation, value engineering, sustaining engineering, and product improvement initiatives.
\n
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering and research & development background, hands-on product development experience, and excellent collaborative communication skills. Experience in water technologies or electrochemistry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Design mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing products.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering designs.
- Select appropriate components and materials based on product requirements.
- Support qualification of new materials and components.
- Develop and improve assembly designs.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation.
- Support execution of the product roadmap established by Product Management.
- Contribute to new product innovation, value engineering, sustaining engineering, and product improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Sales, Vendors, and Product Management teams.
- Perform laboratory testing and hands-on engineering activities as required.
- Participate in product development, testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow applicable safety procedures and wear required PPE while performing hands-on and laboratory work.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.

Required Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or Research & Development.
- Strong experience with mechanical product design and development.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
- Knowledge of component and material selection.
- Experience with engineering documentation and product development processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to perform hands-on engineering and laboratory work.
- Ability and willingness to wear required PPE.
