Take on a rewarding opportunity supporting students who benefit from individualized assistance in school environments near Jaffrey, NH. Two contract positions are available for skilled paraprofessionals—one at the middle school supporting a dedicated 8th-grade student and one at the high school working with a small group of students with IEPs.
Ideal candidates bring compassion, patience, and flexibility, particularly in areas of personal care, toileting, and academic support. These roles require effective communication with students, staff, and families, and a willingness to adapt to each student’s unique needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or PCA, preferably in school settings
- Flexibility to provide toileting and personal care
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy
- Familiarity with supporting autistic or nonverbal students is a plus
- Ability to assist with academic tasks and follow IEP protocols
- Collaborative mindset for working with teachers and specialists
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support students throughout the school day, including during classes, transitions, and lunchtime
- Offer direct care and academic assistance as outlined in student plans
- Create a safe, encouraging, and respectful environment
- Maintain documentation on student activities and progress
- Communicate regularly with educational staff about student needs
- Follow school policies and health/safety guidelines
