Role Description The Chemical Site Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Rutland, VT, responsible for overseeing daily chemical inventory, usage, and compliance at the customer facility. This role manages ordering, receiving, and safe storage of chemical products, ensuring accurate documentation, proper labeling, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards. The Chemical Site Manager collaborates closely with customer stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize chemical usage, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Daily responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, coordinating deliveries, maintaining SDS and regulatory records, and addressing any operational issues related to chemical handling and application. The position also involves generating reports, tracking key performance indicators, and supporting audits to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant site.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in chemical management, inventory control, and on-site materials coordination within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations related to chemical handling, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal practices.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and data systems used for inventory tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Ability to work safely in an industrial setting, including standing, walking, and handling materials in accordance with site procedures.
- Previous experience in metalworking, manufacturing, or industrial supply environments is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
