Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Valid certification in Special Education
Previous experience teaching elementary-aged students
Passion for working with students on the autism spectrum and those who are medically fragile
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Adaptability to meet varied student needs within a self-contained classroom
Ability to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction and support for elementary students in a self-contained classroom
Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom community
Collaborate closely with related services staff, support personnel, and families
Manage behavioral plans and provide appropriate interventions
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
