Step into a rewarding contract position supporting young learners as a Paraprofessional / Education Assistant for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with PK-6 students with a variety of disabilities, providing both behavior and mobility support in an inclusive and engaging educational environment. Your dedication will help foster growth, independence, and confidence in children as they progress through their formative years.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, education assistant, or similar role within school settings
- Familiarity with supporting students who have diverse disabilities
- Ability to assist with both behavioral interventions and mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support in classrooms and other school environments, implementing individualized strategies and accommodations
- Assist students with varying needs, aiding in both academic tasks and daily living skills
- Support teachers by preparing materials, helping with classroom management, and reinforcing positive behaviors
- Encourage and motivate students, fostering engagement and enthusiasm for learning
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other support staff to meet each student’s unique goals
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the educational team
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development
