Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8th grade students as a dedicated paraprofessional on a contract assignment, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 2027. Enjoy working Monday through Friday with a consistent schedule, providing valuable assistance in the school environment for 30 hours each week.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with teachers and special education staff to help students reach their academic and behavioral goals. Your guidance in classrooms and small groups will make a direct difference for students needing extra support.
Qualifications:
- Previous paraprofessional, school, or behavioral experience preferred
- Must meet any required paraprofessional credentials or certifications
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and students
- Willingness to adapt to the needs of diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and individualized strategies
- Work one-on-one or with small groups, offering academic or behavioral support
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and lunch/recess settings
- Help with organization, materials, and classroom management
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
- Monitor progress and report observations to teachers and specialists
