What You'll Do
Role Requirements
Our ideal candidate is a team player who can provide exceptional support to our teaching staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing coverage during lunch breaks so teachers can recharge and refocus
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to meet the daily needs of our children with kindness and care
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment by participating in daily cleaning routines and assisting with laundry
- Stepping in to cover staff absences, ensuring our classrooms continue to run smoothly
- Helping to organize supplies, restock materials, and maintain a well-ordered and prepared space
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Meet one of the following early childhood education requirements:
Acceptable Credential or Coursework Options
- Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate, or
- Current Child Development Associate (CDA) plus at least 12 months of experience working with children in grade 3 or younger, or
- State Board of Education–approved Human Services Program Certificate with a focus on child development or early childhood education plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger, or
- Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger, or
