POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Supervisor is responsible for leading field crews in the execution of mission-critical construction, installation, maintenance, and repair projects supporting aerospace, defense, satellite communications, and advanced infrastructure systems. This role serves as the on-site leader responsible for safety, quality, schedule execution, workforce management, client interaction, and operational performance.
Field Supervisors are expected to lead by example, maintain a strong safety culture, mentor technicians, and ensure all projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with company and customer standards.
This is a highly hands-on leadership role requiring extensive domestic and international travel, adaptability in remote environments, and the ability to perform under pressure in physically demanding conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and supervise field crews during construction, installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Maintain full responsibility for execution of contract requirements at the job site.
• Direct daily work activities while ensuring compliance with all company safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and safety briefings.
• Manage project schedules, labor coordination, equipment utilization, and material tracking.
• Ensure quality standards and workmanship expectations are consistently achieved.
• Communicate daily project updates, risks, delays, and operational issues to leadership and project management.
• Professionally manage customer and client interactions on-site.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate Field Technicians and developing crew members.
• Coordinate use of manlifts, telehandlers, rigging systems, rope access equipment, and specialty tools.
• Resolve field issues and adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
• Ensure accurate completion of daily reports, safety documentation, and project records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide operational feedback for estimating, planning, and future project execution.
• Travel domestically and internationally for short-term and extended assignments.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage crews in high-pressure environments.
• Deep understanding of construction safety, field operations, equipment usage, and site logistics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in extreme or remote environments.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Ability to manage crew productivity, morale, and accountability.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Ability to professionally mitigate risks and resolve operational challenges in the field.
