We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to join a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in electronics, testing, and manufacturing who want to develop hands-on technical skills in a production environment.
As a Test Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of electronic systems, subassemblies, and circuit boards through electrical and RF testing. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and enjoys working with electronic and test equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and RF testing on circuit boards, subassemblies, and completed systems using manual and automated test equipment.
- Follow process instructions, work instructions, and test plans to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements.
- Utilize test and measurement equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test instruments.
- Document test results accurately and maintain electronic records within test databases.
- Generate reports and support ongoing improvements to testing procedures.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and retesting of electronic assemblies.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve product quality, throughput, and efficiency.
- Adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills, including navigating digital work instructions, production systems, and timekeeping applications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred
- Experience with electrical, electronic, or microelectronic testing.
- Experience reading schematics, work instructions, or test documentation.
- Familiarity with ESD procedures and manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test systems.
- Previous experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies or printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
