Goldfish Swim School Milford is hiring a part and full-time Swim Instructor/Lifeguards to help kids build confidence in the water while keeping every lesson safe, structured, and positive. This entry-level role matters because families count on us for progress, protection, and a great experience—every class.
Key responsibilities include teaching swim skills using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum, enforcing pool rules, monitoring for safety concerns, responding to incidents with appropriate first aid/rescue actions, tracking student progress and paperwork, and communicating clearly with parents/guardians. You’ll also help with basic deck setup, equipment care, and occasional light cleaning.
Required qualifications/skills:
- At least 15 years old
- Comfortable working with children; patient, upbeat, and dependable
- Strong communication and organization
- Must pass background examinations
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification required (paid training available if not certified)

A Typical Shift
You’ll arrive a little early to get settled on deck, check in with the team, and review the day’s lesson flow. As families come in, you’ll help create a welcoming start, then move through a steady rhythm of classes in a warm, lively pool environment. Between sessions, you’ll reset your station, update notes on swimmer progress, and connect briefly with parents about how things went. The shift wraps with a quick tidy-up, a handoff to the next team, and the satisfaction of seeing kids leave proud of what they accomplished.
