American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a hospital-based diagnostic imaging role.

- Hospital-based diagnostic imaging department performing CT procedures
- Handles interventional cases, CT Angiography, and advanced 3D reconstruction
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation and PACS (McKesson Change Healthcare preferred) for exam review
- CT equipment from GE and Siemens preferred
- Every Wednesday and Thursday overnight shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday and Sunday
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
- Minimal holiday and backup call requirements
- Flexible availability needed to support 24/7 department coverage

Requirements\n
- \n
- Minimum 3 years of CT Scan experience required
- Current ARRT(CT) certification required
- ARRT CT Registry eligible preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state imaging license required if applicable
- Experience administering IV, oral, and rectal contrast
- Knowledge of CT patient prep, positioning, and scan acquisition per protocol
- Ability to identify anatomy, pathology, and contrast enhancement on cross-sectional imaging
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach as needed

Additional Information\n

- Performs CT scans under direction of Radiologist and CT Supervisor in accordance with department protocol
- Assists radiologist during interventional procedures
- Coordinates daily workload by scheduling inpatients and prioritizing ED patients while balancing outpatient schedule
- Reviews IV Contrast Questionnaire with patients prior to contrast administration
- Reviews exams in PACS for completeness before submitting to radiologist
- Responsible for patient safety and application of ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure
- Performs daily QA and warm-up procedures on CT equipment and troubleshoots issues as needed
- Maintains clean, organized, and well-stocked work area including light cleaning and laundry duties
- Follows facility dress code policy
- Maintains HIPAA compliance at all times
