You’ll play a critical role in the educational growth of students, providing dedicated assistance both in and out of the classroom near Duxbury, MA.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active paraprofessional credentials or certification required
- Previous experience working in a high school setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and support the needs of a diverse caseload
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional support
- Provide individualized or small group academic and behavioral support to students
- Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by specialized plans
- Foster students’ independence and encourage engagement and participation
- Monitor and record student progress, communicating observations with teaching staff
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities, ensuring safety and well-being
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
