Job DescriptionPosition Overview:

Work Schedule:
This role requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, involving rotating day and night shifts, with every third weekend included. Note: This position qualifies for full-time benefits and includes a sign-on bonus of $20,000 (not applicable to internal candidates or those who have previously worked with us in the last two years).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administers and oversees mechanical ventilation, serving as a key resource for respiratory care personnel and healthcare teams.
- Delivers respiratory therapy across critical care, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency environments, acting as a support for respiratory care staff and care teams.
- Provides patient care within the designated clinical area, fulfilling related responsibilities and serving as a resource for staff and care teams.
- Engages in communication with care teams, patients, their families, and colleagues.
- Participates in ongoing professional development, acts as an educational resource for department trainees, and serves as a clinical resource for care teams.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required; candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy are preferred. Must be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care and possess a license from the State of Massachusetts.
Experience in NICU and PICU settings is preferred, along with certifications in NPS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS.
Required Experience:
One to two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist I is necessary.
